Today, I had a slow start. My phone had died, and I had to buy a new one. I turned in my Blackberry for an I-phone. I should receive it via UPS soon.
After spending two to three hours on the phone this morning, I went straight to the computer to do some blogging. I posted a blog on Thomas B. Reid, an individual whose photo collection is in my possession. I am really enjoying looking through his photos and investigating more about the background of them and his family.
I posted on the Hairston Blog about Shober Hairston: Part #2. I am so pleased that Pat likes the way I am presenting the documents for her. It is great practice for me and it is very helpful for her.
I also posted the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery pictures I took when I went to Lake Village Chicot County, Arkansas in April 2012. Can’t believe it took me so long to post. I need to post the other photos I took on my visit.
I received my DNA results back from Ancestry. I was somewhat surprised by some of the results and pleased by some of my ancestry. I have hopes that I will fully understand the results. There will be an upcoming post regarding my DNA.
I have been thinking about my Birth Mother lately. I have no online communication with her right now,and I am hoping that we will talk soon.
I did not write today as I had planned. When I say that, I mean that I needed to write at least an hour on one of the books that needs to be published in the New Year of 2013. I hope that I will get to that tomorrow.
I almost forgot..I wrote and posted a photo of my Cousin Richard C. Cully, who was the first African American Deputy Fire Chief in New England for Wordless Wednesday. I am amazed that he was an African American First, and then I am also amazed that he also is a product of his ancestry. I am not sure that he knew but a generation or two before him, his Uncle’s had been dedicated to the Service occupations.
Well this is all for now…See ya all tomorrow.
